Russian River Corridor Redevelopment Plan EIR for the Sonoma County Community Development Commission

Wagstaff and Associates completed a comprehensive EIR for a County-proposed redevelopment program for the Russian River resort area. The redevelopment area encompassed approximately 1,900 acres along the river corridor, including the towns of Rio Nido, Guerneville, and Monte Rio. The plan provided for enhancement of the corridor's forest and river environment, restoration and expansion of the river area as a desirable visitor and tourist destination, historic preservation, and recovery from natural disasters. The EIR addressed the visual, land use, traffic, public services, biological resource and water quality implications of the improvement plan.
